Like about 200 actor added bodies about the world, my wife and I acclimatized bottomward to watch the American Idol Grand Finale beforehand this week. With the account of satellite, we watched alive from our close island home by the Sulu Sea in the Philippines. We were already happy, as our two favourites, Katherine McPhee and Taylor Hicks had, the antecedent evening, been area they belonged, singing in the final. Whoever won did not matter; we admired them both, but afterwards Taylor Hicks final song, he did attending the acceptable winner. However, they would both, as able-bodied as Chris Daughtry, accept fabricated aces American Idols.

There were abounding memorable moments during the American Idol 2006 series, but for me one of the best memorable, and significant, came with the advertisement of Taylor Hicks as the winner. I was captivated for him. He has been an adorning amateur all the way through the American Idol series, never flirting with the avenue aperture (despite Simon Cowell’s attempts to boost him there), and with a different adeptness to booty aloof about any song, about-face it into his own, and accompany the admirers to its feet. Taylor Hicks is…well, Taylor Hicks; never abashed to do his own affair and absorb the audience. Alike if Simon Cowell wrote a burial dirge, Taylor Hicks could about-face it into article appropriate with his different character, and accept the abode rocking. Read the rest of this entry »
